We hope Pace will become a tool that the whole social enterprise sector can use to promote, advocate and support social enterprises in Australia.
-Tara Anderson, CEO, Social Traders
This 2022 we've seen the launch of Social Enterprise Australia's first report, outlining the size and contribution of Australia's social enterprise sector. Social Traders is proud to introduce Pace, which complements the data found in the Business for Good Report, by un-packing the economic and impact contribution of 460 certified social enterprises nationally, collected between 2018-2022.
Pace highlights include the following outcomes generated by certified social enterprises:
- 26K people have been employed including 12k beneficiary employees
- 1.8B annual total revenue achieved
- $513M re-invested annually into creating impact
- 39% generate 100% of their revenue from trade
- 79% increased their revenue between certification periods.
Pace puts a spotlight on the incredible contribution of the social enterprise model, at a time when businesses across the country are being challenged to deliver purpose beyond profit. Our aim is for Pace to become a tool that the whole social enterprise sector can use to promote, advocate and support social enterprises in Australia. Pace also allows us to catapult our unified message to government, philanthropy and business - to back Australia's social enterprise sector.
Join us by sharing Pace and encouraging the switch to social enterprise to catch on.
